I have had the pleasure of working with Simon on a number of projects over almost 20 years, and in various relative capacities - as client/supplier, as co-workers, and as venture partners.

‍The recurring theme is that Simon is a very consistent, extremely reliable principal and manager, who has developed his passion for 'building the right thing' into the Product Leadership that he's known for today.

As a manager, he is understanding and inspirational - the sort of person you simply want to work for and go the extra mile with. As a co-worker and partner he is tireless, hard-working, conscientious and someone who always acts with integrity.

As a Product leader he is ambitious yet realistic, and amazingly creative. I worked with Simon over 9 months as part of a Product Centric transformation that Simon was leading with his team. We focussed on establishing a discovery lab for continuous discovery.

A couple key themes that Simon coached the team on:

1. The importance of product discovery and talking with customers to gain a deep understanding of the problems/challenges they face
2. Creating prototypes and testing them with customers… then keep iterating as part of the design loop with a focus on outcomes
3. Always bring your Engineers along on the journey as they often will provide the very best solutions
