Making high quality, affordable fashion available to everyone
Primark is one of Europe’s most successful retailers, with the mission to make high quality, affordable fashion available to
The Challenge
After a successful release of a new website and click and collect, Primark are looking to build on this success by embedding product best practices. I am leading a product transformation with the goal to embed new approaches to digital product development allowing Primark to compete with the world’s best e-commerce companies.
The Process
- Defined, socialised and secured buy in for the digital transformation roadmap
- Assessed current and defined future org topology, capability, remit and composition, along with a maturity model to support the change.
- Defined agile roles and responsibilities.
- Led a discovery to map out the as-is route to live process to support agile development and continuous delivery, and define a workstream to co-create the To-Be process.
- Stakeholder engagement, strategy alignment and change management
The Outcome
Primark have a roadmap for 2023 and are moving to product centric ways of working
New product org structure to embed agile and product best practices, increase delivery speed and improve code quality in production.
An improved route to live process to support continuous delivery and shorten release cycles
A roadmap to continue the transformation into 2023, with a focus on digital ambition, product discovery, solution planning and prioritisation.

Product Director - Primark
Simon is a brilliant Product consultant and expert in digital product transformation.
He’s is not afraid of big-picture problems and willingly faces into them, quickly understanding the wider scope of what's really going on.
For someone so good at working at this level I’ve found him remarkably action-oriented and good at identifying the next best action. Even when there’s a mountain to climb Simon will always come up with a plan and suggest what that first step should be!
Simon is also incredibly personable and an absolute pleasure to work with!
