The Challenge

Trade Ledger needed an approach and risk analysis for an invoice finance B2B2C product. My role was to lead a discovery to provide a brief, value proposition, risks and next steps to develop this complex, industry defining product.

The Process

  1. Created a detailed end to end map of the as-is and to-be business process for bank lending.
  2. Applied Jobs to be Done to gain a deep understanding of the goals, pain points of desires of a range of customers in this complex B2B2C ecosystem.
  3. Created a detailed product brief including the value proposition, market size and opportunity, insights from prospective customers, risks and next steps to market capitalization.
  4. Designed a future state app to bring to life possibilities for the future.

The Outcome

A clear recommendation to the business on the opportunity and risks of developing an invoice finance proposition compared with other business opportunities provided strategic direction.

A product brief outlining the value proposition, market opportunity, route to market and risks.

High level designs for app functionality & extensive customer research with a range of stakeholders to validate the brief.

Next steps for design, development and route to market.
